Our story
Happy Day Restaurants didn’t start with a business plan — it started with a leap of faith. In 1969, Bruce and Joy Finch opened Lewiston’s very first Taco Time with no restaurant experience, a lot of determination, and a little help from Bruce’s father Charles, who believed in their vision enough to help build the very first location himself. That spirit of family, faith, and community has shaped every decision we’ve made in the 55+ years since.
