Happy Day Local
Happy Day Local is our commitment to building a better food system right here in the LC Valley. Locally sourced beef, fresh-baked bread, and produce grown mere miles from your plate.
WHY IT MATTERS
Happy Day Local is part of the Happy Day family: 14 restaurants and a catering company rooted in the Lewis-Clark Valley. With a consistent, built-in demand for high-quality ingredients across our restaurants, we recognized an opportunity. Not just to source better food, but to help build a stronger local supply chain.
By creating our own sourcing and distribution system, we’ve made it easier for local producers to access reliable markets, and for our kitchens (and customers) to access food they can trust.
We partner directly with small farmers and ranchers to bring high-quality, locally raised products into a system where they might otherwise be overlooked by large distributors.
To support this vision, Happy Day has invested in infrastructure designed to localize and strengthen the food system, including a USDA-inspected beef processing facility, an in-house bakery, and partnerships to bring in local produce.
Our mission
Every dollar spent on local food reinvests back into our communities and the families who farm here.
A local food system is less vulnerable to the supply chain disruptions that we’ve all seen in recent years.
We want to know what’s in our food and where it came from. No unnecessary chemicals and preservatives. Just real ingredients.
Our vision goes beyond our restaurants. We want to build a food system that serves every kitchen in the LC Valley.

Our mission is to strengthen our region by building a resilient local food system, one that promotes equity, health, and sustainability.
We are committed to expanding regional sourcing, valuing proximity and connection to home. We create new market opportunities that empower producers to grow, scale, and elevate their level of professionalism, while fostering long-term security for local growers.
We work alongside producers at all stages, supporting a transition toward responsible practices that care for the land, the people, and long-term viability.
We aim to make local food systems more accessible, fair, and ultimately essential to the well-being of our communities and our future.
